  2. Shauna,

i am currently on disability, but have been given the go ahead to do a small amount of work (half time).

I have a pretty solid educational background up to the Ph.D. level, but without the dissertation. I want to go into freelance writing in a way that gets the information across, but without all the academic style that confuses people. My speciality is demography and social issues.

Do you have any words of advice regarding how I might start out? I’m not rushing to make a huge sum of money, but I don’t want to short change myself either.

Thanks for listening, and for any help you might be able to pass along. Right now I’m in northern Florida, but can move just about anywhere and am willing to do it.

    Pat Simonik
