Episode #9 – An American working in London

Marianna Wood Armitstead will be my guest on Monday 5/17 to discuss what it’s like being an American looking for and working in London. Marianna is my lovely sister-in-law, hence the same last name, but I wanted to have her on the show because her experience is unique to what most Americans experience working in the States.

Join us on Monday 5/17 7am PT|8am MT|9am CT|10am ET at http://ow.ly/1GtFk. You can either call in, or listen from your computer. If you’re not able to listen to the call at the broadcast time, you can return to that link and hear the archives from your computer or download to your iPod.

A little about Marianna: Marianna has a BA in theatre and a Master of Arts in Teaching in Secondary Education to teach theatre from the University of Utah where she was a candidate for valedictorian. She has been a preschool teacher for almost ten years. She moved to London about two years ago while her husband earned a masters degree. While there she nannied and taught at a local school.

Quote of the show:

“I have been going to Italy since 1980, but I always went to do work. I did not live overseas, because I do not like running around with everything I own in a paper bag.” – Bill Dixon, musician

Number of the show: 56
